Friends,
Through all the grief đ˘ support systems & tools Iâve been leaning into since Jameyâs passing, one of the things I keep reading / hearing about is that it can be helpful to channel your hurt, anger, & bewilderment into something positive. Well, in the truest form of love, I think Jamey, knowing that already, put things into motion, before he left me, that would not only help others, but help me too. By standing up the Hollingsworth CRC Awareness Fund (HCRCA) he not only actively modeled the second greatest commandment in Matthew 22: 39 ââŚYou shall love your neighbor as yourselfâ but by asking me & the girls & his dear, dear friends to champion his vision & see it through, he is, from heaven, not only actively saving others from his fate, but saving me from an abyss of negativity & loss. Words really canât express (though I do tend to speak & write a lot them đ) how therapeutic itâs truly been to feel like I/we, with Godâs blessing, have the power to turn our nightmare into good for someone else.
(Genesis 50:20 âAs for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.â)
Tuesday night the HCRCA board met, & it filled my heart to see all the good work we are all working on together. We have so many events & message campaigns in the works, itâs truly flabbergasting, & I know Jamey would be proud. (He might also have a few opinions & tweaks heâd make, but âŚ) I wonât hit you with a long list of things to come, but I will leave you with one thing.
