Help us raise awareness of the benefits of early detection of colorectal cancer... and save lives.

In 2022, Jamey Hollingsworth passed away after a brief battle with colon cancer. Before passing, Jamey asked his friends and family to take on the challenge of educating and raising awareness of the preventative measures available to people so that they would not travel down the path he was on.

Jamey had waited until he was 50 to get a colonoscopy - what he thought he was supposed to do. Despite being an active, healthy adult, he and his family were told that after the first evaluation of his colonoscopy, Jamey had Stage IV colon cancer and was given just 12 months to live. He only got 10.

The mission of the Hollingsworth Colorectal Cancer Awareness Fund is to educate as many people as possible about the need for early detection on what is a treatable disease - but has become the second most common cause of cancer deaths in the U.S.

The new age for recommended screenings is 45. Get tested.

JAMEY HOLLINGSWORTH

A husband, a father, a friend.

Jamey had a servant's heart, and he wanted to find something positive for his friends and family to take from this situation. He poured his remaining energy and time into the creation of the Hollingsworth Colorectal Cancer Awareness Fund - because he didn't want other families to go through this experience.

DONATE

While it's not the only way to help us spread awareness for colorectal screening and education on the treatments and prevention of colon cancer, donations do help us reach a wider audience. We are so fortunate to have partnered with the Robert E. Reed Gastrointestinal Research Foundation, who have graciously provided us with the infrastructure to help raise funds.
